It is literally grinding that one must constantly fight through a swamp of superfluities to reach the essence of something. It irritates me so much at this point that it has become unhealthy.

Yesterday, the Claude Code source code was leaked. Big news indeed. Let's see what intelligent people on Hacker News have to say about it: see f.e. https://ccunpacked.dev/

Someone there (with near-absolute certainty) used Claude overnight to spin up a homepage that is supposed to "professionally visualize" the whole thing. Fine, it looks nice, it flows, it has style, all of that is okay in itself. But I don't want to have to scroll through a Hollywood production just to get an overview. The visual effects don't interest me at all: the unnecessary AI bloat and slop, this generic AI aesthetic that only annoys because everyone in the field immediately clocks it anyway.

Yes, I have made use of it myself and incorporated a lot of it into my blog. It's interesting to experiment, to test the model, to give it creative freedom, etc. But in retrospect I have to say it wasn't worth it. It was useful for one thing only (and this is the only point worth emphasizing): scaffolding a structure quickly that you could then adapt. But that can easily become an impenetrable jungle you can only hack through with a machete if you want to get anywhere. But anyway...

In any case, at least for me, a deep, persistent disappointment has been setting in: that information now comes at the price of wading through garbage first. Developers who build genuinely good things keep their documentation public and in plain HTML. A true blessing. Those who care more about looking good than building something real ship AI-generated output under their own name. That is dishonest, deceptive, and wrong on so many levels that it literally makes me sick.

Once more: I am guilty too. It is fine to try, to experiment, to play. But hopefully one will at least engage one's brain in retrospect and evaluate the result by one's own standards. But I fear those standards no longer exist. It doesn't matter what the AI produces, as long as it works on the surface. And if it passes the surface check, it gets deployed and left to run, and that's that. Revisions are rare. New projects, by contrast, are frequent: same pattern, as always.

I also don't want to moralize or concern myself with the erosion of standards here. I am simply personally annoyed by it, and it genuinely pisses me off that information is so rarely presented the way I expect: reduced to what is essential, shaped by a mind that has truly internalized the subject matter and is working from its own judgment, habits, and considered opinions.

So yes, great that you (or Claude) threw this together overnight and are now offering illumination and visualization on a highly topical subject. It is still worthless, and at best nothing more than cheap sensationalism and attention-grabbing.
